I had no weight loss motivation and I accepted that I was going to be fat for the rest of my life. I embraced my eating disorders, ate what I wanted, when I wanted and just tried to enjoy myself.
But he had a point. So the next day, I went out and bought a pair of comfortable walking shoes (running for weight loss would take some time to work up to). Then I started my walking weight loss experiment.
Soon I had a daily routine of walking to burn fat. But I knew it wouldn't be enough if I wasn't eating healthy as well, so I started paying more attention to my diet. After a while I even started parking further away from the store when ever I went shopping.
I've always been interested in the many alternative weight loss options, and I know a lot of these approaches are becoming quite popular. And of course you've got to check out anything that promises you fast weight loss, especially when summer seems to be constantly around the corner.
But in the end, it was a simple natural weight loss approach that won me over. Soon I was reading food labels and cutting out sugar, chemicals and processed food from my diet. I started looking for any opportunity to walk more (running for weight loss was starting to look like a possiblity), seeking out stairs and skipping the escalators.
And you know what? The cravings for all the crap I used to eat started to go away, and I started to look forward to the walks. I knew I was burning fat, because the pounds started to melt away.
So I stepped it up and started running for weight loss. I was still towing a trailer but I was surprised to find the running for weight loss approach felt good.
Something happens when you exercise, there's a chemical released in your brain that gives you a feeling of well being. In other words, you're a happier person; and that's a good thing.
So I kept at it. Joined a gym so I could use a treadmill to lose weight running on rainy days and set a goal for myself. I wanted to run 1 mile in 12 minutes or less.
The 12 minute mile: it was just one of the many gym requirements I was never able to achieve as an over weight high school student. It didn't happen over night but one day I ran a 12 minute mile. I was so excited. I started with a simple running for weight loss program, now I'm up to running 3 consecutive miles averaging 8 1/2 minute miles.
I've lost 75 pounds; with my running for weight loss program, and yeah my knees thank me everyday.
I always promised myself that if running for weight loss worked for me, I’d help others who wanted to lose weight and lower their chances of chronic diseases.
So here I am, check out all of my burn fat running videos where you'll find everything from personal stories to cooking videos (something new is always in the works so keep checking in.)
Also feel free to download any or all of my "Free Weight Loss" programs and nutritional ideas.
They worked for me and I'm sure they'll do the same for you, just stick with'em. That's all it takes to start losing weight.
Live a healthier life.
Live a longer life.
Live a happier life.
You've got nothing to lose but your body fat. Smiles...Gigi
